Madam Nightingale

Madam Nightingale is the alter-ego of visual artist, lyricist and composer Phaedra Gunn (she/they). Described as a joyful bizarre love triangle between Björk, Kate Bush and Charli XCX, Madam Nightingale is described as not just a musical act, but a holistic and immersive art experience. Currently bringing their contemporary synthpop sounds to the Australasian arts festival circuit, Madam Nightingale are working towards the release and Australiasian tour of their self-titled debut album which is currently being engineered in the US.

Transforming Speakeasy Theatre into a wonderland of light and song for one special Melbourne Fringe performance, 'MADAM NIGHTINGALE PRESENTS SUPERLUNARY SYNTHPOP' is a spellbinding continuous cycle of song & interpretive dance. Award Nomination

Madam Nightingale are humbled to have received their first award nomination at the recent Newcastle Fringe.

Nominated for Artistic Merit, the award that recognises artistry and is awarded to those that showcase high skill in performance, Madam Nightingale were nominated alongside Flamencodanza (Award Recipient); Brand New Dress; Hunter Wind Quartet; Electro Leider; Ocean Enters the Room; & The Red Light.

Madam Nightingale wishes to congratulate Flamencodanza and to thank the judges and Newcastle Fringe for their critical recognition and support.
